Welcome to The Bexhill Festival of Music 2019

This is the thirteenth year of the Bexhill Festival of Music. Once again we have a programme for you full of events celebrating Live Music, Local Talent and internationally renowned performers - who will be providing unforgettable highlights – the icing on the lollipop.

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra are back at the De La Warr Pavilion with another concert featuring stunning orchestral gems.

Maestro Richard Durrant brings his latest acoustic guitar pieces to the wonderful setting of St Peter’s Church Old Town.

The Sussex Concert Orchestra returns with a concert in St Barnabas Church. Conducted by Ken Roberts, it will feature in our Last Night of the Bexhill Proms 2019 bringing our Festival to a rousing end at the De La Warr Pavilion.

The Orchestras above would not exist without young people being encouraged to
join in and enjoy music at an early age, forming the bedrock of the musical pyramid some will aspire to climb. We are therefore delighted to promote the Summer Big Sing, where our local schools and colleges come together for an evening of music and singing. Our thanks go to Rother District Council, the Bexhill Lions and
Claremont Independent School for their support.

We thank the advertisers in this programme, an important income stream for the Festival and extend thanks to the De La Warr Pavilion, Rother District CouncilGaby Hardwicke, McPhersons and No48 for their continued support.

Last Night of the Bexhill Proms is our biggest fundraiser and your support is always appreciated. If last year’s was anything to go by it will be another unforgettable evening.

Here we go then Country & Western, Jazz, Choral, Folk, Rock & Roll, Classical. It’s all Live and Local, there for you. Join in, attend – many events free. ENJOY!
