Sussex Day Concert at Bexhill Heritage Coronation Bandstand – SUNDAY JUNE 15

Sussex Day was first celebrated in Bexhill more than a century ago in 1917. Come along to the bandstand and enjoy Sussex Day 2025 with music by three of Bexhill’s favourite local bands.  

Battle Ukulele Band – Noon-12.45pm
Join this 15 strong ukulele band for a fun afternoon of music and song, performing a range of hits from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s and more. Any donations to Battle Food Bank.

The ‘Jolly Boys’, Ticehurst Male Voice Singers – 1pm-1.30pm
The Jolly Boys, formed in 2023, are a group of like minded men who enjoy singing Sea Shanties, though they also cover a wide range of other styles including traditional folk, popular music, Christmas songs, Old Time Music Hall songs and other sing along material.

The Kukes – 1.45pm-2.30pm
The Kukes are an alternative folk/country/pop band, based in Bexhill, featuring melodic harmonies, ukuleles, melodeon, whistle, banjo and an eclectic song choice. Winners of the Ukulele Society of Great Britain’s Ukulele Band of the Year contest 2019.

The F.O.G -3pm-3.45pm    
The F.O.G (Five Old Geezers) are a five piece local band playing a lively mix of 60s/70s, Blues & Country. Together for the past 6 6 years, appearing at various local venues. Come and join us at the Bandstand!

The Sussex Stompers – 4pm-5pm
Representing the 1066 Jazz Club, the Sussex Stompers will be showcasing the traditional style of jazz which the Club offers every month at the Egerton Park Indoor Bowls Club.
