DESCRIPTION:A group of adults from Hastings who love playing recorders. Some have been playing since childhood while others have come back to this beautiful instrument after a break of many years. \nSince October 2014 we have built a repertoire ranging from early music to arrangements of well known pieces. Other compositions have been written by modern day composers\, especially for the recorder. Our repertoire uses recorders in harmony; sopranino\, descant (soprano)\, treble (alto)\, tenor & bass.

DESCRIPTION:The Bexhill Classical Guitar Society’s second recital this season welcomes the Colombian guitarist Francisco Correa\, who has been praised by Gramophone for his “eloquence” and by Soundboard Magazine for his “beautiful and expressive interpretation.” Recognised for his captivating performances and versatility\, Francisco has appeared as a soloist and chamber musician in over 20 countries across the UK\, Europe\, and South America. Recently\, Francisco was named an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music (ARAM) in London for his significant contribution to the musical profession and to the guitar\, in recognition of his distinguished career as a performer\, recording artist\, and cultural ambassador. \nThe event is free to enter\, with donations requested to help support the society. DESCRIPTION:Under the musical direction of Roy Gregory\, will perform a concert of varied styles of music\, featuring members of the choir in solos\, trios\, ensembles and personal\nanecdotes. A great variety of entertainment for your pleasure. Roy was head of vocal studies at the famed Italia Conti Academy of Performing Arts in London\, he worked with the Royal Opera and Ballet for many years and was vocal coach to many famous international actors\, dancers and singers\, including Placido Domingo\, Pavarotti\, The Two Ronnies and Barbra Streisand. \nAdmittance is free\, but any donations to a leaving collection are welcomed in support of The Bexhill Festival of Music. \nThe studio space is small to accommodate an audience as well as the choir\, so please book in advance to secure a place.
