SUMMARY:The Band of the Royal British Legion
DESCRIPTION:The Band of the Royal British Legion (Bexhill and Little Common)\, to give the full title\, are delighted to be taking part in the Festival of Music once again for 2026. The band has a happy blend of ex-armed services and civilian musicians\, who enjoy rehearsing together in Bexhill and are kept busy playing at events and concerts\, some with a military or Royal British Legion connection and others purely supporting local events. The programme for the Festival concert includes an imaginative array of music\, ranging from light classical\, through West End musicals\, to some catchy arrangements of 20th century hits\, all selected by the band’s Musical Director Martin Bunce AGSM. \nDoors open 7.30\, starts 8pm. Tickets are £3 and will be available on the door or in advance from the Club bar. The bar will be available to concertgoers.

Having spent years honing their craft in a shed\, the Brothers finally came outside and unleashed a heady concoction of explosive drumming\, vintage TV themes\, wailing sax and joie de vivre. \nThe ‘Jolly Boys’\, Ticehurst Male Voice Singers – 1pm-1.30pm\nThe Jolly Boys\, formed in 2023\, are a group of like minded men who enjoy singing Sea Shanties\, though they also cover a wide range of other styles including traditional folk\, popular music\, Christmas songs\, Old Time Music Hall songs and other sing along material. \nSevenoaks and Tonbridge Concert Band – 2.20pm-3pm & 3.20pm-4pm \nThe Sevenoaks & Tonbridge Concert Band is a symphonic wind band\, based in Sevenoaks\, Kent\, with its players drawn from a wide area\, and performs at a range of concert venues across the region. Their repertoire is selected to fit the different audiences for each concert. The music includes original works for wind ensemble to arrangements of orchestral pieces\, musical theatre and film score repertoire\, traditional military band items and light music of various styles. \nIan Hamilton Trio Blues – Starts 4.30pm\nThe Ian Hamilton Trio play an eclectic mix of folk music and America often with a unique twist.

DESCRIPTION:Crescendo is a mixed choir group with a wonderful variety of songs so something for everyone to enjoy on our first visit to the Festival. Our Choirmaster Debs Chambers will lead you through the evening with her characteristic repartee ably assisted by our very talented accompanist Stephen Page. Crescendo is also delighted to be joined by their guest performers\, Radiant Brass\, performing their sparkling brass arrangements. \nAs a very friendly community of singers we are always happy to welcome new members.
